Altered Photo Artistry - More Explorations
More Altered Photo
Artistry
More than just flowers,
you can alter any photo: landscape, still life,
architectural elements, animals—you name it! We'll
explore more techniques for altering photos and creating
large Altered Photo quilts (up to 32" x 44") from your 8
1/2"-wide printer.
Using Photoshop Elements
(from the CD in the back of Altered Photo Artistry)
we'll alter your choice of a photo, enlarge it, and
print in sections on inkjet fabric.
One class will
concentrate on treating your own fabrics to print. See
what happens when you print on a print (white on cream
or white on white) fabric!
No special equipment is
necessary, just a basic camera (film or digital),
computer, inkjet printer, and sewing machine.
Basic sewing (sewing a seam, dropping the feed dogs,
winding a bobbin, and threading the machine) and
computer skills (opening the application, opening a file
and printing from the document) are helpful.
Prerequisite: Purchase a
copy of Altered Photo Artistry from our website (www.threadography.net),
your local quilt shop, or Amazon.com, then mail a photo
of your smiling self holding the book to Beth at
muttonhead@mchsi.com.
