Artful Creations With Angelina with
Bente Nysaether- Malm

Have you ever heard of Angelina, have you ever used it? It is a
beautiful fiber product that melts with an iron to make interesting and
pretty surfaces.
Bente is a master at using Angelina and in this class you will make one
of the portfolios pictured here as well as learn more about working with
Angelina. A must for both art quilters and traditional quilters.
Angelina Fiber is a new, very fine fiber that is heat bondable. The
fibers are light reflective, as well as light refractive. Angelina is a
heat bondable polyester fiber, meaning it bonds to itself when heat and
pressure are applied. Simply place it between two sheets of paper towels
or pressing sheets and iron on silk setting for three seconds and you'll
make a shiny soft sheet of polyester fabric! It is very hard to get a
good picture of Angelina. It changes colors in different lighting, but
it doesn't really matter because it also changes color when you fuse it!
Bente has developed a pattern for a portfolio that is fitted with
storage areas. She uses Angelina mixed with wool for the surface.
