Textured Landscape Series - Class 1

This is a 4 week class and costs $40

Each course will be a comprehensive and detailed step by step instruction on creating small textile art pieces. Each course will focus on different methods increasing in technical detail so as to develop skill. Each is complete with stitch instructions and photographic examples. The student can follow these steps to produce a series of samplers which will become reference guides.TLS 1 is ideal for someone who wants a starting point in Free Motion Embroidery and explores the aspects of using FME as an embellishment tool.  TLS 2 deals more with complex layering to develop texture as well as exploring several methods for creating backgrounds.  TLS2 relates more to the finished product being a totally embroidered piece rather than a product of embellishment.

This course will deal with light embroidery and embellishment on a simple background, and will include instruction on various couching methods and embroidered appliqué.  The student will learn basic stitches and tension adjustments. This does not use an emboidery machine, but rather is done free motion.
